This past Sunday was all about football, football, football. Millions of Americans tuned in to watch their favorite teams make a play for the Super Bowl. We're not huge sports fantatics at my house, but when it's time for the football and baseball playoffs. we like to at least watch parts of the games, so we can see who's winning. My brother-in-law is a huge football fan, and could tell you everything you'd ever want to know about the game, the teams, players stats, etc.

January is a super exciting time for football fans. Lots of friends and family gather together to enjoy good food, good company, and to  watch the play off games, and of course the Super Bowl. When friends get together, there's always food to nibble on, and we've got the perfect suggestion for a special treat to take along or serve to guests, if you're ateending a Super Bowl party this year.

We received the See's Rocky Road Football!

The football came packaged in a football themed box, with a clean top, so we could see the chocolate football lying inside!

B loves candies of all types, but he especially loves chocolate (like his mom). When he helped me open the large chocolate football that See's so kindly sent to us, his eyes got wide, and he asked, 'Is this for us to eat!?' He couldn't wait to tear into it and take a big, chocolaty bite of the candy football!

The See's Candies Football was well wrapped in plastic, to help keep it nice and fresh.

This yummy football is actually a Rocky Road Football. Handmade with creamy milk chocolate, honey marshmallow and English walnuts, this is one sweet football you won't want to fumble. Approximately 6" long. Serves 6. Now get this- I am not a big marshmallow lover,but I happen to love rocky road, so t find it in a chocolate is pretty awesome, if you ask me.

I loved the design on the Rocky Road Football from See's. It actually looked like a football- they did a great job on recreating the likeness.

The top of the football had a yummy white icing over top (this wound up being one of B's favorite parts!).

I really didn't want to cut into the football, because it looked so cool, but I knew it would be a great treat to serve to my family over the weekend, while we had guests. To serve the football, I simply used a sharp knife to cut it into sections. When I sliced into the football, I immediately found the yummy marshmallow and walnuts, swirling together within the chocolate. I couldn't wait to take a  bite.

B couldn't wait to try it, and let me tell you, it was love at first bite with this kid.

B loves chocolate covered marshmallows, so it was no surprise to me that he quickly fell in love with the See's Rocky Road Football. He didn't even seem to mind the Walnuts! When I took a bite, I really enjoyed the sweet chocolate mixing with the gooey marshmallow and the creamy walnuts. The Rocky Road Football was a big hit with my family, and I'm sure it would be one with your family, too!
