This is such a special time of year. Though we're just about a week away from Thanksgiving, I can't help but feel that Christmas spirit! One of my favorite Christmas traditions is trimming the Christmas tree. Growing up, we always made a special time of it, and enjoyed carefully placing special ornaments on the tree- many of which we made ourselves. Now that I have a home of my own, and my own family, the tradition is continued, and new memories are being made. It brings me so much joy to watch my own son excitedly place ornaments on the tree- especially ornaments that have been gifted to him, and ones that will go with him when he leaves the nest (years from now).
Hallmark certainly knows a thing or two about special Christmas ornaments. Our own tree is filled with beautiful, meaningful Hallmark Keepsake ornaments from years past, and each new Christmas season, we enjoy adding new ones to our collection. The 2014 Hallmark Keepsake Dreambook is available now, and it it filled with a beautiful collection of new ornaments for 2014, plus- a challenge to #KeepsakeIt with your family!
I was able to select my top 3 Hallmark Keepsake ornaments for 2014, ones that would hold special meaning for me, or someone close to me. My husband and I gift B with a new ornament each year, and Hallmark always has an incredible selection of character ornaments, which B totally loves! This year, my top three choices for B's ornament were Spiderman, Jack Skellington, and Hiccup & Toothless from How to Train Your Dragon 2- all characters that B loves. I had no idea which ornament we would receive, so when our package arrived from Hallmark, I knew I was in for a special treat!
It's here, it's here! What a beautiful and bright Keepsake box!
I couldn't wait to see which ornament Hallmark sent to us, so I turned the box over to find...
...Hiccup and Toothless from Home to Train Your Dragon 2!
I couldn't have been happier, and I can't wait to see B's expression when we present him with this very special new Hallmark Keepsake ornament this Christmas! I wanted to just take a peek at the ornament, and make sure that everything was as it should be, so I carefully opened the box, and found the ornament wrapped in tissue paper.
Here's our ornament, carefully packaged in our Keepsake box.
I appreciated that the ornament was wrapped this well, to ensure its safe arrival.
Here's a look at the ornament, out of the box. So awesome!
I really love how well Hallmark captured the likeness of both Hiccup and Toothless in this wonderful ornament!
The ornament fits in the palm of my hand. Look at the details- they are fantastic!
Now, this ornament is crafted from the characters in How to Train Your Dragon 2, so this is the older Hiccup, standing atop of Toothless. Toothless features his custom tail, made by Hiccup. Toothless is a bit more predominant than Hiccup, which is totally fine with us, as Toothless is the top favorite in our house.
