How many times have you ever felt like you just wanted to escape? Sure, a vacation sounds magical (especially to me), but the school year just started and there are zero school breaks until Thanksgiving! Aside from school having just started, tons of other programs have started for the year, as well, and my family is busier than ever! With so many long days surrounding us and our schedules winding every which way, I just want to escape for a few minutes each evening, after my sweet little boy has gone to bed, and while my hubby is winding down by playing a game on his phone or tablet. I'll be honest, to look over (in bed) and see my hubby playing games sort of annoyed me before. He told me that it helped him relax, and forget about all of the stresses that seem to constantly surround us.
I was recently introduced to a fun game that moms are really digging, and loving to play- The Secret Society: Hidden Mystery. In this fun, challenging game by G5 Games, you can truly escape the norm of your daily life, by going on a journey filled with mystery at every turn. I was excited to try the game out, and since it's available for free on IOS and Android, I was able to quickly and easily download and install this game through Google Play.

I couldn't wait to begin such a fun adventure through The Secret Society! The game takes you on a journey, looking for your beloved Uncle Richard, who has disappeared. In the game, you posses a magical power, just like your uncle- the ability to move through magic worlds. As you move through the worlds, you are asked to find certain objects, and are timed. You might also be asked to restore a photograph. As you complete tasks, and find objects, you earn rewards, level up, etc.
This may sound silly, but my son receives a monthly magazine for preschoolers, and one of the highlights of our month, is looking through the hidden object puzzles together, in his magazine. It's no surprise that I love searching for the hidden objects in The Secret Society: Hidden Mystery! Just think of entering a beautiful, magical place in Budapest or Venice, and searching for artifacts like jewelry, statues, musical instruments, paintings, and more. Of course, there are tons of other objects that aren't on the list of objects you need to find, which are thrown into the picture, to throw you off. I love the challenge of having to look past those extra items to find the items I need, so I can check those off my list.

I have to admit, I let out a little smile every time I receive a new coin, my energy is restored, or I level up. As I played The Secret Society a few nights ago, my hubby was interested in what I was doing, so I clued him into the game. He was eager to download it to his tablet, so he could play it, too!
At the end of a long, crazy, busy day, I really look forward to brewing a nice hot cup of tea, and relaxing by playing The Secret Society for twenty or thirty minutes before I 'unplug' for the day. By taking some time out for myself, and playing this fun and exciting game, I am letting go of all of those little worries that have actually been keeping me awake at night. I was working every evening, right up until it was time for bed, and waking up multiple times in the night, worried about the next few things on my 'to do list' for the follwing day. Playing The Secret Society for a while, and then reading a couple of chapters from a book, really helps me wind down during the evening, and helps me fall asleep and stay asleep! I never realized that doing something as simple and fun as playing The Secret Society would make such a positive change in my life!
