Weekends With the Wigglesworths: March-ing Right Along

It is March! I feel like it was just yesterday that I was writing a post about how it was the first of February, and now it is the first of MARCH! Spring is right around the corner and that makes me so happy, I am down right giddy. I think we might have to do something special today, just to celebrate! I wish it was a little bit warmer already, then we could take a trip to the Beardsley Zoo, but 34° is just a bit too chilly.

I am looking for things to do, a “real” reason to celebrate, so I visited the Holiday Insights Website to see if there was anything fun for our family to celebrate. It turns out today is both National Pig Day and Peanut Butter Lovers’ Day. I think pigs are cute and all, but Peanut Butter Lovers’ Day is a little more up our family’s alley. I am going to have to look around the internet for some ideas on how to celebrate, since making peanut butter and jelly sandwiches for lunch and peanut butter cookies for dessert seem a little obvious. Tomorrow’s holiday, Old Stuff Day, seems to be a little more promising in the way of celebrating. It is a day to recognize the “same old stuff” in your life and make a change and do something outside of your normal routine. We attend church on Sunday, that is one thing that will not be changing, but I think we might be able to find a few things to change up our usual Sunday routine. I think maybe we’ll take the girls to a diner after church, instead of heading straight to visit our family. Maybe after, we can go to the movies and/or schedule an impromptu play date with some friends!
