My girls are in love with those portable yogurt and applesauce pouches. I’m not going to lie, I love them too. They are easy to throw in a lunch bag for school or a road trip, the contents are (usually) delicious, and they are easy enough for even a 1 year old to use. The only thing that could possibly make these pouches better, is if I got to pick exactly what went inside and didn’t have to worry so much about what kind of additives might be lurking in the prepackaged pouch.

Our Yummi Pouch Treasure
The Yummi Pouch is a reusable food container for babies and kids. Yummi Pouches come in a variety of sizes (holding from 2.5-10 ounces), are BPA-free and phthalate-free for safety, and they are recyclable too! The pouches are also safe for use in the freezer and dishwasher, making this Mommy pretty happy!
For our smoothies, we opted to use the Yummi Pouch Mini which holds up to 2.5oz. The girls never really drink too much when we make smoothies and I thought that since the spout was at the top, it would just make things a little easier. The opening to fill this pouch is at the bottom and opens nice and wide to add whatever snack you might want! In addition to smoothies, yogurt, and applesauce, there are some really great Creative Uses for Yummi Pouches available on their website.

Overall, our experience with the Yummi Pouch was pretty fantastic! I highly recommend these to any parent who is looking for an alternative to the pre-packaged pouches. If you make your own baby food, the Yummi Pouch would be great to help you with storing. If your kids enjoy smoothies (and maybe you are looking for ways to sneak in extra fruits and veggies), the Yummi Pouch is a great way to serve up those smoothies!
