Weekends with the Wigglesworths: Melting Snow and a Family Birthday!

I want to start off by saying that I personally feel like every week should be a 3 day week for school children! I know that is probably not going to be a very popular idea, but I love the fact that the weekend returns so quickly when Monday and Tuesday count as part of your weekend. After a long weekend, our oldest is in a much better mood as well. She seems more relaxed and happy and I think that it’s because there is not an extreme amount of school work getting in the way of her being a 6 year old!

This weekend, the snow is MELTING! We had so much snow surrounding our house, I really felt like our house might end up getting swallowed into the ground or something equally dramatic. I am so over winter, even if that means no more snow days until next year. I love having snow days, perhaps more than I did when I was a kid myself, but right now if I see one more snow flake I may have to be committed!

What it’s like where we are! Where I wish we were! Like NOW!

This weekend, besides the snow melting, we are looking forward to our nephew’s birthday party! The girls are so excited to see their cousin Tyrae, and celebrate his 5th birthday with him! We love him, and the girls absolutely adore him! Every day Drew asks if he could come spend the weekend, and when he is here, Reese is following him everywhere! We know he likes Spiderman and Batman, but Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (I cannot believe those things have made a comeback!) have also been suggested. It’s hard for us to shop for boys, because we have 2 little girls, so we are never sure exactly what to get, but thankfully he is just a sweet thankful little boy who is (usually) more excited to see his family than to get a gift!
