I don't know about you, but I am so excited that summer is oficially here! It's almost like the summer solstice gives parents permission to chil out and enjoy the simple things in life. One of the best things about summertime, to me, is spending time outdoors. I am a huge fan of the concept of outdoor living, and look for just about any excuse to get outside and enjoy my surroundings.

I told my husband that I really wanted to spruce up our front porch this summer, and spend more time relaxing on it, as a family. We live in an historic neighborhood, and live in an old home with bungalow charm. Thanks to lots of caring folks, our neighborhood is being revitalized, and lots of neighbors are stepping up and giving their homes a lot of curb appeal. On just about every porch in our neighborhood, you'll see outdoor seating and entertaining areas, offering family and guests the perfect spot to sit and relax as they take in the sights and sounds of summer.

While I was planning out our summer space for the outdoors, I came across some beautifully designed casual outdoor bean bag furniture by Jaxx Bean Bags. Our family was over the moon excited to be offered the opportunity to review one of Jaxx's beautiful, comfortable furniture pieces! We selected the gorgeous Ponce Outdoor Lounger in Coral, and I couldn't wait to see it in person!

Balian was quite eager to help me pull the Ponce out of this big box (which we proudly recycled).

Jaxx has a lot of really beautiful pieces. I really never imagined having a bean bag furniture piece as part of my collection of outdoor furniture, but when I saw the Ponce Outdoor Lounger, it not only looked eye-catching, it looked incredibly comfortable and inviting- making it the perfect seat for any age!

Balian didn't waste any time trying out the Ponce Outdoor Lounger from Jaxx.

You can tell just how large this outdoor lounger really is, measured against my two and a half year old, who is 40" tall.

The Ponce gets its name from the vibrant Ponce de Leon Ave in Atlanta, and is as unique as it sounds. The lounger is filled with teeny tiny beads (EPS filling), which actually sort of forms to your shape, while holding its own as you sit in/on it. The outdoor fabric is soft and comfortable, and very durable. It warms in the sun, but doesn't get hot, and it's fade and mildew resistant. I couldn't wait to get my new outdoor lounger out on the porch! I pulled it to the front door, and was able to lift it by myself, to place it on my front porch. The Ponce is even larger in person than I imagined it, which made me re-think where I would place it. After I moved a couple of things around on my porch, I found just the right spot for this colorful beauty!

The perfect place for a little mommy break...

The Ponce is a thick lounger! You know how a lot of bean bag chairs sort of squish out and slip out from underneath of you while you're sitting on them? Well, the Ponce doesn't do that! It stays nice and firm, giving you plenty of support as you lounge, while hugging you. This brings personal comfort and relaxation to a whole new level!



Room for two...

I love that the Ponce gives Balian and me the chance to sit and lounge together! I don't have to worry about him hogging the lounge chair, and if I want to sit and relax with a glass of wine, and happen to get a sweet little interruption, all I have to do is scoot over, and life instantly gets a little bit sweeter. Again, we're fully supported and comfortable even when there are two of us enjoying the Ponce together.



Well, it was bound to happen...

The Ponce has two gromets- one in each top corner. A nice, comfortable headrest clips right through the gromets, attaching to the Ponce for ultimate head, neck and shoulder support. This extra feature is one of the things that I love most about this snazzy lounger. I can literally lie back on the Ponce, rest my head comfortably and sit and read, work, or just enjoy the company of my family and friends. Balian absolutely loves the Ponce (as you can see in the photo above). He ditched his cute little toddler chair for mom's new lounger pretty quickly! I don't mind, though- it's to be enjoyed by the family, and he's great about scooting over and sharing!


An inviting space for our family, and our guests...

I love our front porch. It's actually one of my favorite things about our home, because it's a nice wide porch that actually gives us lots of space to use and enjoy. I chose the coral color, solid fabric for our Ponce, because it thought the color would work with our new bench cushions. I added plants with a lot of green (chicks and hens on the coffee table), and pink flowers, which were meant to accent the furniture pieces and pull them together. We wound up with a really nice outdoor living space, which I have been enjoying for the past couple of weeks (when it hasn't been raining). This is my favorite spot to sit and enjoy a cup of coffee, a cold beer or glass of wine, read a good book, or just chill as Balian plays (he loves to play on the porch!).

The Ponce is also a conversation starter. It's an interesting piece of furniture to see on a southern front porch, so I've been enjoying telling my friends, family and neighbors about it, and about Jaxx.

We've been so impressed by Jaxx and our Ponce Outdoor Lounger! This is the perfect addition to our outdoor space, and I'd love to wind up with more comfy seating from Jaxx.
