Make Plans to Attend Two Upcoming Events to Benefit PCAR (Rowan County, NC)

Starting this week, residents of Rowan County, NC will have the opportunity to support Prevent Child Abuse Rowan and its efforts through two planned events.

About PCAR

Prevent Child Abuse Rowan (PCAR) operates the Terrie Hess House Child Advocacy Center. This CAC, as it is called, operates to provide children who have been victims of physical and sexual abuse and their non-offending caregivers a location where they can receive advocacy, medical, and mental health services. As part of this, the CAC stands as a hub for all of the various county and city agencies who assist in the prosecution of child abuse cases by providing legally-sound forensic interview of the child victims and a centralized case tracking and management system. It is the mission of PCAR to STOP child abuse in Rowan County through Education, Intervention, and Support. PCAR is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization and all donations may be considered tax-deductible.

The first event to benefit PCAR will take place on Thursday, April 25, 2013 at the Innes Street Chick-fil-A Restaurant located in Salisbury, NC. For those who dine at the restaurant between 5-8 pm, they will be able to have a portion of the proceeds from their meal go to PCAR. Patrons are asked to please let their server know that they would like to participate, and give to the organization. They will also need to leave a copy of their receipt from their meal purchase.

A second event to benefit PCAR will be hosted by Team Chevrolet on Thursday, May 2, 2013, also in Salisbury, NC. Team Chevrolet will be hosting a Ladies Only Bunco Night, from 6:30-9:30 pm, at their TEAM facility on Jake Alexander Blvd. This fun event does require an RSVP, and is limited to the first 100 players who RSVP.
