I can't believe how quickly we've gone from needing our heavy winter coats and gear, to being able to shed them and don shorts and t-shirts, instead. I guess I shouldn't be surprised, though. North Carolina usually sees spring-like temperatures as early as the month of February. This year. however, winter surely struck, and decided to hang around. In fact, it's been lingering, even through the first few days of April. It  also shouldn't surprise me that the first warm weather weekend of spring will be launching early summer-like temperatures by mid-week, which can only mean one thing... it's time to break out the summer wardrobe!

We are big, big fans of Lands' End clothing and gear. My hubby and I each have serious winter coats from Lands' End (which we actually needed this year), and my mother-in-law raves about their boy's pants and shorts being the most durable pants/shorts you'll ever find. We were given the opportunity to work with Lands' End this spring, by reviewing an outfit from the spring collection for children, and we jumped at the chance. My husband jumped up and down like a school girl when he heard the news (seriously, that's how much we love Lands' End!).

Lands' End has been around for a long time, and are well known, and well-trusted. They are a global retailer, specializing in beautifully made, quality crafted clothing and accessories for men, women and children, not to mention they have a lovely line of items for the home, personal luggage collections, as well as gifts!

Lands' End Toddler T-Shirt and Shorts

We were asked to select an outfit to review from Lands' End (for Balian), and I had a lot of fun looking through all of the fun designs for toddlers on their website. Lands' End has a lot of classic clothing, including polos and my favorite look- plaid shorts, but I knew that I needed to look for pieces that we would get a lot of use out of. So, I looked for a pair of shorts that could take us from playing in the sandbox to spending a day at the zoo. And then, I looked for a super cool t-shirt, fitting for my little guy.

Frilled Lizard Toddler T-Shirt

Lands' End has some really cool graphic tees for kids, and it was hard to select just one, because I loved so many of them! I decided to go with a mandarin colored t-shirt, which features an amazing graphic image of a frilled lizard, and breaks down the different parts of his body- labeling them out for all to see on the shirt! I knew Balian would think the lizard was cool, and that he'd like the colors!

I love this Lands' End t-shirt for a lot of reasons- it's 100% cotton, which is a must for the boys in this family. It's soft, lightweight, but durable, and it's breathable, which will be wonderful for those hot, sticky Carolina days of summer! The shoulder seams on this t-shirt are reinforced, which means that there is less of a chance of tearing, and the t-shirt will last a whole lot longer than a lot of B's other tees.The graphics have been wash tested 50 times, to ensure longevity (which means it won't fade after washing a bunch of times!). The ribbed crew neck helps it to keep its shape after washing, too! Tags? Forget them! Lands' End has canned the itchy tags and traded them for heat-transfer labels that are right on the shirt, so there's no itching or rubbing on the back of the neck. Thank you, Lands' End- you saved my from having to cut a tag out!

Lands' End Pull On Cargo Shorts

When it comes to shorts and pants, I can almost expect that I will have a hard time finding something that will fit my long-legged toddler, but not be too large in the waist. When I came across the Boys Pull On Cargo Shorts, I knew that I had hit the jackpot! These shorts not only fit Balian very nicely in the waist (they're not falling off of him), they are longer in length, which means that he'll be able to wear these comfortably into the NC fall season (where we don't put our shorts away until late October!). These shorts feature cute cargo pockets, perfect for holding things like 'coins for my piggy bank' and 'rocks from the yard.'

Rip-stop shorts- these can handle anything!

Other reasons why I chose and love these shorts... these shorts are made from a lightweight, but durable rip-stop cotton fabric, which means that they won't ravel, and it'll be pretty hard for Balian to put a hole in them. They won't wear thin after being worn and washed a bunch of times, which is music to this laundry lady's ears! The cargo pockets are reinforced, which means that they can actually be used, and aren't just decorative! There are extra buttons on the inside of the shorts, just in case we wind up losing one. The elastic waist of these shorts is adjustable, and hidden on the inside. These are pull on and off- there's just enough room to comfortably get them up and down, which is great for us, as we round out our potty training adventures. These are machine washable, and come in Federal Blue, Khaki and Expedition Green.

Balian loves his new outfit. He has asked to wear his new lizard shirt almost every day since we received it, and the shorts are comfortable for him to play in. We just might be getting more tees and shorts from Lands' End, before we get into the summer months! I really appreciate how easy it is to shop for kids clothing on the Lands' End website, too. Their site is so easy to navigate! All I have to do is go to the tab for boys, and then go down to the toddler section, where everything I need is laid out for me, in the sizes we need for Balian.

Lands' End has lots of other wonderful styles for the kiddos this spring and summer! Their t-shirts and shorts are comfy and durable, and super long-lasting, which is what we want in clothing for our kids. Lands' End is definitely one of our top choices in clothing for our son, and really, for the entire family! I can't wait to get a new Lands' End swimsuit before we hit the beach next month! Reviewing these pieces for Balian has reaffirmed why we love Lands' End so much! They make stylish, practical, affordable clothing for all ages, without sacrificing quality, which we truly appreciate and admire!
