Pregnancy comes with its share of fun times-buying baby clothes, feeling baby move, picking names, and dreaming of holding your baby for the first time. It also comes with some not so fun times-growing body, stretchmarks, morning sickness, and aches and pains. I keep telling myself it is all worth it in the end, and I know it is. I can't wait to meet Baby #3 in just about 15 weeks.
One company I am working with is helping me prevent some of the not so fun-stretchmarks. This company specializes in a wide assortment of maternity and baby products, from clothing to diaper bags to skin care.

Founded in 2003 and located in California, Due Maternity is all about fashion, comfort, and being proud of the growing and changing your body is going through. I worked with Kate, who offered me a selection of the Bella B Skin Care products offered by Due Maternity, which I will be reviewing over the next few weeks.
Bella B is a body care company founded in 1999. They specialize in mom and baby body care products that are natural and made with organic ingredients. All of their products are free of parabens, petrolatum, lanolin, harsh chemicals, and animal by products.

The first Due Maternity product for review
Bella B Tummy Honey Butter is a Stretch Mark Prevention butter. It is hypoallergenic, paraben free, made with organic ingredients, and uses cocoa, shea, aloe vera, and includes anti-itch ingredients to soothe those growing tummies. It comes in a 4 ounce container and retails for $20.
First off, I love the container, bright yellow and black accents make it really pop and catch your eye. If it were sitting on a shelf in the baby aisle, I would be immediately drawn to it. There are also a pregnant "queen" bee and baby bees flying all over it. All of the ingredients are listed on the side as well as a little about the product history.
The twist top comes off smoothly and you are immediately greeted with a mild, but fragrant scent, perfect for those extra sensitive sniffers during pregnancy. It is very welcoming and I couldn't wait to try it out. Quick note, this is a butter, so don't be expecting a lotion, or you will be disappointed, a butter is more of a wax. I have used body butters in the past, so I knew what to expect, and got exactly what I thought.

The Bella B Tummy Honey Butter is thick and doesn't take much to apply to your belly, I have been using it each night. I am pleased with how easily it goes on and how quickly my belly seems to stop being so itchy. Because it is an oil based formula, it does tend to take a bit to absorb, which is fine by me, I usually just put an older tank top on until it absorbs and it doesn't grease up any of my clothing. As for my stretchmarks, they don't seem to be getting any worse than they already were, my belly also seems firmer. I am taking daily heparin shots and my stomach is very bruised, I will have to say that the Bella B Tummy Honey Butter has even lightened my bruising as well. I will be continuing to use the Bella B Tummy Honey Butter the next 15 weeks and even after baby comes to help tighten everything back up. Thanks Due Maternity, Kate, and Bella B!
