It's hard for me to believe that my husband and I are just days away from celebrating our five year wedding anniversary. It seems like just yesterday, my face was frozen solid, and hurting from all of the smiling, and posing for pictures! Sore face aside, our wedding was incredible. We enjoyed having time to ourselves when we were newlyweds, and living away from family for a bit, while my husband attended grad school. During his second year of his master's program, we found out that we were expecting, and life has just never been the same from that moment.

We've had very few nights alone these past couple of years... and don't get me wrong, I love our son more than anyone in the world- but every now and then, moms and dads need a little R & R- without the kiddos around. We're sneaking off for a long weekend- just the two of us, and I am so looking forward to it! It will be so nice to reconnect with my hubby, and just spend some time talking about grown up stuff (we'll see how long that lasts!). Hey- I might even get to do a little relaxing all on my own, so I plan on taking a few products with me to help spice up the weekend, as well as pamper my tired little self!

I seriously can't remember the last time I took a relaxing bath, and it's definitely on my anniversary weekend to-do list! I found some really lovely looking bath salts, and I am so looking forward to pouring a scoop of them into a warm tub! Pour a nice little glass of wine, grab a good book (still trying to finish the Grey trilogy), and get a nice soak in!

It would also be nice to be able to use a silky sugar scrub in the tub, without having to worry about my clumsy husband or wobbly toddler slipping and falling, because of the residue left in the tub. I could think of a ton of spa-like products that I'd love to be able to take with me on my trip, but I have a feeling it would make my beauty bag super heavy!

I'll miss our little man so much while we're away for a few days, but I so can't wait for a little mom-cation!
