Every now and then you come across a company with such wonderful products, that you just keep going back for more. To me, Celadon Road is one of those companies. My first introduction to Celadon Road was about a year ago, and I quickly fell in love with bath and body products, and even cleaning products that were natural, and safe for me to use around my little one. When we were contacted by Susan Urbanek about featuring some of Celadon Road's products, I knew that my opinion would be biased, because I already knew of and loved many of their products. So, I was excited to have my Aunt, Susan Durocher write a guest review of the products Susan U. wanted to send in.

Butter Bar Soap...

When I opened the bar of soap, I seemed to be transported back to my travels to Spain.  The soap had the texture of the soap that my Spanish “family” used.  

The texture of the soap has that buttery feeling.  When I tried the soap in my home in NC, with naturally soft water, I was very pleased.   I didn’t seem to have that soap film left on my skin with other soaps.  The real trial for me, would be using it at my parents’ home in Wisconsin where the water is hard.  Again, I was pleasantly surprised at the feel of the soap. 

The one thing that bothered me at first, was the lack of a lather build up and the lack of perfumes.  But, after a few uses, I found that I really liked the soap.  I would highly recommend it to others.

Lime Laundry Detergent

When I opened the laundry soap, I said to my now late husband, “This reminds me of a powdered drink!”  The lime smell and the texture made me want to sing all about summer!  
I was concerned, though, that the lime smell would be very evident on my clothes after washing.  That is not the case.  What you do have is just very fresh smelling clothes.  This, like the bath soap, does not produce a lot of suds, and you may feel like you have to add more detergent, but you don’t have to do that.  Your clothes are getting clean.

I really liked the detergent, but my husband who had some skin issues found that his clothes made him want to scratch a little.  I did not find that problem at all, so I asked a neighbor, with some skin allergies to try the detergent as well.  He did not have any problems after washing and wearing his clothes.  The only thing he didn’t like was that the clothes didn’t have that perfume smell that we’re all used to from the detergent brands we buy in the stores.  I personally did not miss that smell at all, I just liked that clean feel and smell.
