Part of MBP's Halloween Spooktacular

I've got to be honest- I love Halloween. I love Halloween almost as much as I love Christmas. Don't ask me why, because I'm not sure I would be able to come up with a good answer. I love the fun of it all- the child-like spirit that shines through in putting up decorations, baking holiday themed goodies, participating in the neighborhood Halloween parade, and just watching all of the children have a fun-filled day!

Holiday decorating is one of my all time favorite things to do. I seriously can't get enough of it. Before I was a mom, I spent a lot more time thinking through the decor I would put out for every holiday- but now, my time is not so free, and I need decorations that will be simple for me to place here and there through out my home.

When I was browsing adorable Halloween decor a few weeks ago, I found a cute little boutique on Etsy- Totally Heidi Lynn, owned by none other than Heidi Lynn, herself! Heidi Screiber has a love for all things crafty. A teacher at Scrapbooks, Etc. in Arizona, Heidi creates and sells beautiful digital scrapbook kits, and whimsical boutique crafts. As I contemplated the upcoming holidays, Heidi's adorable boutique pillows caught my eye. I fell in love with the too cute Spooky Pillow listed in Heidi's shop, and when Heidi offered to send me one to review, I got pretty excited!

Heidi sent the pillow right out to me- in North Carolina, and I was chomping at the bit for it to arrive, because Halloween is just around the corner!


The pillow arrived safe and sound!

Heidi Lynn packaged the Spooky Pillow in bubble wrap, and enclosed a lovely little printed card. I love the appreciation she shows to her customers!


The Spooky Pillow from Totally Heidi Lynn...


The spectacular Spooky Pillow is hand painted by Heidi Lynn, herself! I love the pretty detailing, the lovely lettering... and the silly little spiders that dangle over and in between the O's! The spiders are made from buttons and googly eyes, with hand painted legs. The pillow itself, is canvas, and filled with soft fibers- perfect for adding a little cushion to your seating area, or just using for added Halloween fun in your decor! Every pillow made by Heidi Lynn will end up being a bit different- just because they're handmade... so each one is truly one of a kind!


I decided to leave the Spooky Pillow in this chair, in my living room, because I want to see and enjoy it, and want our guests to see it, too!


I couldn't quite figure out where to put my Spooky Pillow. I first had it in my living room, resting in the arm chair... a perfect spot. Then, I wanted to try it in my bedroom, decorating the rocking chair. I even tried it out on the bench on my front porch, just because I wanted to see what it would look like. I won't leave it there- but it sure did look cute!

I can imagine the Spooky Pillow would look adorable sitting on a shelf, mantle, a side table, on any chair or couch, on the bed- for added spooktacular fun!

I don't know that I can choose a top favorite item from Totally Heidi Lynn, because I love everything! I totally need to purchase some of the scrapbook titles and get scrapin'! What I really love about Totally Heidi Lynn, is that you can absolutely tell just how much Heidi Lynn loves to create, just by looking at her work. If you think everything looks beautiful online, just wait until you're holding one of her creations in your hands! Beauty, whimsy, fun and art all come to life through Heidi Lynn's products. I think it's so cool that Heidi Lynn takes time to make kits and include materials for those of us who like to create, but may lack the know how or time. Heidi Lynn's love for handmade crafts is evident, and so is her love of sharing the creative spirit!
