Now that we are experiencing cooler temperatures here in North Carolina, it's actually starting to feel like fall. Fall is my favorite season. I love sweaters, boots, scarves, the colors, the layering and more! I tend to sort of favor my fall and winter wardrobe more than my spring and summer wardrobe, and it's a little unfair, but I just can't help it! 

When I heard that one of my favorite clothing boutiques had just gotten in their new fall pieces, I couldn't wait to check them out! Conversation Pieces is based in California, and they showcase and sell an amazing collection of clothing and accessories from up and coming designers. What I love most about the apparel and accessories from Conversation Pieces, is that everything fits into this elegant, yet comfy and casual style- a way of life, really... an attitude that I desperately yearn for!

My pal Audrey at Conversation Pieces sent me two great new fall must-haves- the Mix It Up Top in Blue, and the Matchstick Pant in Rust. I knew that I was going to love these items, just by looking at the photos, but when I got to see them in person, I loved them even more!



I absolutely love that all of the items that I have received from Conversation Pieces have arrived just like this! So sweet!



Yay- new clothes from Conversation Pieces!

I didn't know which to try first- the pants or the top. I went for the top, because I loved the way the soft knit fabric felt against my skin. A perfect shade of blue for any season, this comfy, stretchy top is feather light and is quickly becoming my favorite new 'sweater'.  It's a cropped sweater, with long sleeves, and the lightness of the sweater is absolutely perfect for the fall afternoons here in NC, where we climb into higher temperatures- say in the 70's. It's also the perfect sweater top for layering. I've got a few great button up shirts that would look super cute underneath this top! The Mix It Up Knit Top features a boat neck, and can easily be dressed up or down. I think it would look cute with a simple skirt, or great with a pair of jeans!

Of course, it made sense to me to pair the Mix It Up Top with the Matchstick Pants. I thought the rust and blue color combo looked great together, and the casual fitting top with the skinny pants were sure to make a great team!

Onto the Matchstick Pants in Rust. When I saw these pants online, I knew they were for me! The coloring looked so perfect for the fall season, and the fit looked like it would create a casual or dressier style. I took a gamble by selecting the size. I went by the measurements listed online, and went with a size medium. Ladies, these skinnies are really skinny. They do fit me- but they just *fit* me. I could have gone up a size- to the large. I normally wear between a size 2 & 4, to give you an idea of sizing, here. I can move in them- they just might look best with a longer, almost tunic length shirt to cover my rear a bit... so nothing bulges where I don't want it to! Tight fit aside, I love these pants... they are super comfy and light, just how I want my skinnies to feel. The rust color is more like a deep tan- camel, maybe, and will go with just about anything in my closet. The Matchstick Pants are a staple for this fall and winter season, and are also available in Gray, Burgundy and Burnt Orange.
