WOW Toys (Review & Giveaway)

I don't know about you, but every now and then, I experience toy burnout. Meaning, I keep an eye out for cool toys that my toddler will love, toys that are different from the rest, but I always wind up buying him the same old brands, because it seems that they're all I can seem to find. I recently set out to find new toys for Balian... toys that would be fun to play with, yet beneficial to his learning and development.

WOW Toys

I found myself at the website for WOW Toys, which was started by Nadim Ednan-Laperouse, MD, and launched publicly at the London Toy Fair in 1997. Nadim loves toys, and really wanted to get parents and kids connected with really great quality toys, that were long-lasting, and didn't run on batteries. Design, safety and durability of the toys were a top priority back then, and remain so today, as well. Nadim has shared his love of toys in such a way that his company, WOW Toys, now has toys available in 40 countries around the world!

I was lucky enough to connect with Tanya over at WOW Toys in the UK, and set up an ambassadorship with WOW Toys. This means, that from time to time, you'll see WOW Toys featured right here on our blog, and we'll have great reviews, giveaways, coloring pages and more to share with our readers!

To kick off this exciting partnership, Tanya and WOW Toys sent us a big 'ol box of fun! Our international package arrived from the UK, and I absolutely could not wait to see which of WOW Toys' products Balian was sent!

Check out the great toys we received from WOW Toys:

Ernie the Firetruck is ready to be played with!

Dudley Dump Truck...

Limited Edition Robbie Racer...

When Balian woke up from his nap and found his new friends from WOW Town waiting for him, he was excited, and did his special 'please open the box' dance! I introduced him to his new WOW pals one at a time, as not to overwhelm him. We started with Robbie Racer. Robbie Racer is a limited edition WOW race car. Robbie Racer requires zero batteries, has a motorized motor, makes real engine sounds, has a trailer hook, and comes with a removable figure. Robbie Racer is intended for ages 1 1/2- 5 years. Developmental Benefits of Robbie Racer for Balian's age group include sensory stimulation and motor skill development.

Robbie Racer has his own toy profile (so do the rest of the WOW Toys!)!

A little sleepy from his nap, but ready to see what Robbie Racer can do!

Ready to race! Let's go Robbie!

'Come on, mommy- I want to play with these, too!'

It wasn't long before Balian spotted his other new friends from WOW Town- Ernie the Fire Engine and Dudley Dump Truck, sitting on the dining room table, in their boxes. He begged desperately to please set the toys free, so I obliged him.

Ernie Fire Engine
Ernie the Fire Engine

First came Ernie the Fire Engine, who's a super cool rescue toy from WOW Toys! Balian absolutely loves rescue vehicles. He gets excited when we see fire trucks, police cars, ambulances, and more in real life, so it was no shock that he took right to Ernie! When there's an accident in WOW Town, Ernie is always the first one on the scene- ready to rescue! Ernie has a motorized motor, makes realistic engine sounds, has a clickable ladder, a WOW push button, an opening trailer, and opening cab, and removable pieces. Ernie came with a really fun cardboard rescue scene, which is very colorful. We set that up on the coffee table, and Balian put one of the little dude figurines into the ladder bucket, and proceeded to rescue the WOW Town civilian in trouble! Glad to know B knows how to help in times of trouble! Like Robbie Racer, Ernie is intended to be played with by children ages 1 1/2-5 (though I've enjoyed playing with Ernie quite a lot, myself!)

Dudley Dump Truck
Make way for Dudley Dump Truck!

Last but not least, we opened up Dudley Dump Truck- a super cool strong, silent, yet friendly and very helpful WOW Town pal! Dudley has probably received the most play time with Balian out of all of the WOW Town pals. Dudley is a part of the WOW Town Construction vehicles, and is seriously awesome. I was so impressed by what Dudley can do, and so was Balian! Dudley's the boss man on the construction sites in WOW Town- he can tip his hefty load, and he shakes and shudders! My husband is particularly fond of Dudley Dump Truck because though he's super tough and cool, he likes to enjoy tea time with his friends, and enjoys listening to classical music. Dudley is intended for ages 1 1/2 - 5, and has some super cool features, too! Dudley's features include a friction powered motor, realistic engine sounds, tipping action sounds, bucket tips, sturdy carry handle, windscreen opens, moving wheels for easy push along, and a dial for developmental play.

We love Dudley! You've got to read more about him, by checking out his personal profile here!

These toys are so much fun! Balian loves them!

The larger trucks came with fun play scenes, too!
Looks like Balian's gonna need a hard hat!

There are so many reasons why, as a parent, I absolutely love WOW Toys. They're unlike the toys we see on the superstore shelves. These are unique toys with their own personalities! I love that they are PVC Free, they don't require batteries, and that they offer so many sounds and functions for my child's development. These fantastic friends from WOW Toys are going to grow with Balian, and he will discover new things with them at every age, like:

From 1½ years – Sensory stimulation and motor skill development
From 2 years – Discovery & learning
From 2½ years – Social interaction
From 3 years – Role-play & exploration

These toys are also a lot of fun for me and my husband to play with! We love getting down on the floor and setting up the first few pals of our WOW Town collection. With these toys, Balian has been more apt to play independently, too, which is music to my ears. It makes me smile to walk back into the living room to find Balian talking, making car sounds, and interacting with his WOW Toys. I can't wait to add to our WOW Town! WOW Toys has lots of categories of toys your little ones are going to love, like some of these...
