PPW Toys Review & Giveaway Part I

Yo Gabba Gabba!

Any of you with small children and a television set probably know what that means-DJ Lance, Muno, Foofa, Toodee, Brobee, and my personal favorite Plex. I remember first seeing the commercials for this back when B was just a toddler and thinking, what in the heck is this show!?! We of course tuned in; it was fun, weirdly entertaining, filled with musical guests, celebrities, dancing, and even educational bits, we were hooked. As time went on, we learned each character and knew the songs, we also saw other people loving it too. What I did notice back then was the lack of merchandise for the Yo Gabba Gabba crew, but all of that has changed, just wait and see...

Based in Los Angeles, PPW Toys stands for Promotional Products Worldwide and is a manufacturer of licensed toys and games. PPW Toys has a huge assortment of popular, collectible toys that appeal to both adults and of course, children. Through MBP, I was connected with Jennifer from PPW Toys. She has been wonderful! Jennifer told us what PPW Toys would be sending and I kept it a secret from the kids. I knew they were going to freak out when the delivery guy brought this box to the door. Little did I know,when the box arrived a few short weeks later, I would freak out a bit too.

It was like Christmas had come early to our house when the PPW Toys package arrived, the box was HUGE and two kids had excited eyes seeing this one at our door.

Upon opening the package, we discovered 6, count them, 6 Yo Gabba Gabba Designer Plush toys.

Little hands could not work quickly enough to get them out of the box and into their arms. Each plush was packaged separately in a clear bag and safely sealed.

First out were Foofa and Toodee, the two girls were immediately claimed by S.

Foofa, who is pink and happy, is 12" tall. She is very soft, almost suede-like, and sewn with great detail. She has a flower on her head and flower neckline, perfect for a little girl who loves pink! S has renamed her Sweetie and snuggles her at night. Foofa retails for around $12-15 depending on location.

Toodee, who is blue and fun, is 12" tall. She is made with the same material and care as Foofa. She has blue dragon-like spikes down her back and big, bright eyes. Toodee also has a new home in S's bed. Toodee retails for $12-15.

B quickly claimed Muno and Plex, two of the boy characters.

Muno, the red cyclops is B's favorite Yo Gabba Gabba character. Muno is 12" and made of a different fabric than Foofa and Toodee. Muno has more of a vinyl feel to him, he is still very soft and well stitched. Muno retails for $12-15.

Plex, the magical yellow robot, is my absolute favorite Yo Gabba Gabba character and also my favorite PPW plush. He is made with the same vinyl material as Muno, but is shiny. He has so much more detail than the other plushes and still the same quality of workmanship. Plex retails for $12-15.

B also claimed the other two boy characters, DJ Lance Rock and Brobee.

DJ Lance is the newest plush released by PPW Toys. I am glad that somebody finally included DJ Lance, he seemed to be the most forgotten. DJ Lance is a bit taller than the other plush dolls and made from a different material. His hat is soft plush and his body is more of a nylon. He is very well constructed and detailed. DJ Lance retails for $12-15.

Last but not least, Brobee, a little green monster who is 12" tall. He is made of soft plush and has a fuzzy feel to him. He is very bright and has 3 vinyl spikes on the top of his head. Brobee retails for $12-15.

All of the Yo Gabba Gabba plush dolls are wonderfully made and very true to character. None of the PPW Toys Yo Gabba Gabba Plush have removable parts and all are surface washable only. My kids have spent a lot of time acting out scenes they have seen on Yo Gabba Gabba with their plush dolls.

My kids to this day still love catching episodes of Yo Gabba Gabba and seeing what fun is in store.
