When I found out I was pregnant, I immediately started thinking about what kind of “Mom” I was going to be. My thoughts and plans back then, are so not what I am now, with a 6.5 month old. I never thought I would be a baby wearing, breastfeeding, co sleeping, baby food making, cloth diapering “natural” kind of mom! Actually I was against co sleeping and cloth diapers, and had no idea about baby wearing. I did know that I would breastfeed as long as I could or until Cameron was a year old and I knew I would make my own food for him when he was old enough for solids. So given this wonderful opportunity to review a product like Baby Brezza has been AMAZING, to say the least.
Now to each his own with when and what to feed your little one. Everyone must do what their mommy gut and pediatricians say is best for their little one, no judgments here ladies, so please no judging me for giving my little man solids. Now with my disclaimer said, Baby Brezza is a fantastically amazing product, and the only one on the market actually that will steam and then puree your food automatically!!
The Baby Brezza all in one baby food system allows you to steam, steam and blend, defrost and reheat food all in one machine. For anyone who has ever tried to make their own baby food, it can be kind of a pain. For the last 2 months I have been making food for Cameron, and it takes 2 machines and a lot of patience, it can be done though. Using a steamer and then a food processor you can make it your self, but with the Baby Brezza it is so much easier. Just put your food in the machine set it and come back when its all done.
The very first thing I made in my Baby Brezza was green beans. This was the start of a 2 day mass baby food making frenzy. I prepped my green beans and packed them in my Baby Brezza.
In the back of the Baby Brezza Cookbook is this handy guide which tells you how long and how to prep most fruits and veggies.
Since I put more in than the book had listed, I added 5 minutes to the cook time.
Then I walked away from the machine and started prepping the next veggie to go into the machine. Twenty-five minutes late,r my green beans were cooked and pureed! Did I mention that the Baby Brezza has suction cups on the bottom of it to keep it from bouncing all over your counter while it purees??
Looks appetizing right? I didn't think so either...
I then used my handy dandy Baby Brezza Spatula to empty out the container and started the next batch of goodies. Once I had quite the yummy mix of goodies I mixed them all together and put them in my new Baby Brezza Storage Containers.
This is: green beans, sweet potato, pear and zucchini (my kid truly will eat anything).
Thanks to Baby Brezza and their wonderful products, my freezer is now stocked full of a wonderful mixture of fruits and veggies for Cameron for the next few months. I spent about $45 on fruits and veggies and was able, with the help of this wonderful Baby Brezza machine, to make so much wonderful and healthy food. No additives or preservatives.

It takes so much time and research. Why not just buy jars from the store shelf?
ReplyDeleteIt seems so time consuming

I am worried that it will be time consuming
ReplyDeleteI think people worry it will take too much time. That's silly to me, especially when you have products like this.
ReplyDeleteBecause they're not sure where to begin.
ReplyDeleteI wouldn't know if my fruits and veggies were clean enough or puree'd enough
ReplyDeleteI've not done it before.
ReplyDeleteI would puree fruits and vegitables

I think people believe that making your own babyfood is too time consuming and too much work. However, whipping up a batch one afternoon could yield you enough baby food for the entire week! Win, win, I think! Thanks for the giveaway!
ReplyDeleteI am afraid of making too large of a batch and not getting to to it. I guess I can get better freezer containers.
ReplyDeleteWhy do you think making homemade baby food is so intimidating (to yourself or to others)?
ReplyDelete~ Because it takes extra time. How easy is it to just open a jar of already made babyfood.
What types of food would you make in the Baby Brezza machine if you won the giveaway?
ReplyDelete~ I would make everything I could - why shouldn't our baby eat the same things we are eating at all times. =)
I think it is intimidating for me because of my crazy busy schedule. This product would get me out of the easy, go-to organic pouch thing!! :)
ReplyDeleteI don't think making baby food is intimidating, just labor intensive!
ReplyDeleteI would make butternut squash puree!
ReplyDeleteI love the idea of making my own baby food, this would make the process so much better!

I think making baby food is intimidating because of the amount of food you would have to have on hand to make it.
ReplyDeleteIf I win this I am going to make lots of carrots and squash foods, those were my favorite when I was little.
ReplyDeleteI think making baby food is intimidating because of the time spent prepping, keeping an eye on the stove, and then cleaning up the mess. I really like the idea of just pushing a button and walking away.
ReplyDeleteIf I win the giveaway, the first thing I would make in the Baby Brezza machine is squash.
ReplyDeletespinach...am I mean?

I would also make something sweet with bananas. Kiddos love bananas.
ReplyDeletepotato

I would make mixes like carrots and apples or peas and carrots or sweet potatoes and green beans
