One of the worst feelings one can encounter when vacation planning is anxiety over where to lodge, eat, what attractions to visit, etc. We have some fantastic vacation planners in my family, but sadly, I am not one of them. We hardly ever venture far from home for a vacation, and the places we visit are all old favorites, and just plays into the whole routine of our trip. I'm ready, though, for a vacation unlike any we've ever experienced. Now that my son is a little older, I feel that we can travel, and enjoy ourselves.

I have never been to Texas, but have always wanted to visit there. Unfamiliar with most of the state, I would have no idea where or how to begin planning a Texas vacation for my family. By day three, I would probably need a break from kiddie attractions, and would want to do a little shopping. So, I'd plan on visiting Market Square, where I could save on purchases, and maybe even hit Tanger Outlets.

There are so many wonderful celebrations happening in San Antonio all the time, that you are bound to find something that tickles your fancy! We'd round out our day of shopping with an evening activity. I'd love to attend the free jazz concert series, and I know my husband would love to visit San Antonio late August, during restaurant week (8/18-25), to samples lots of different fares.

Day 4:

Balian would be itching to get his feet wet (and so would his daddy), so we'd probably visit one of the super fun water parks in San Antonio, like Splashtown, which features over 50 rides and attractions, as well as 'dive-in' movie nights! (With SAVE, families can save up to $42.00!)

Day 5:

We would probably try to squeeze a San Antonio Hellicopter Tour and a trip to the San Antonio Children's Museum into our last day in San Antonio. Then, it would be off to the museum for an afternoon of exploring fun with Balian!
