I wish that I had some kind of magical, portable spray sanitizer that I could just carry with me in the diaper bag at all times. I am completely aware of all of the germs that lurk in public places, and everyday tasks like sitting at a table to eat a meal and using the restroom take on a whole new meaning once you become a parent. I feel that I can't be too careful when it comes to the health and safety of my son. I go to extra lengths to ensure that the surfaces he's touching are clean. It seems like a lot of places are catching onto this, as I've recently discovered that some fast food restaurants are providing plastic cling-to-the-table place mats for kids!
One place that will always gross me out in public, though, is the bathroom. I'm even freakish about keeping our bathroom super clean at home. When I was little, I remember my mom and my grandma lining the toilet seats with those paper covers, or even strips of toilet paper, if nothing else, to keep my tush from being in direct contact with the toilet seat. Now that I'm potty training my 21-month-old, I understand why they were so nutsy about it! Although Balian is a boy, it'll be a while yet, before he's standing up to tinkle, and because I can't take our portable potty say, into the mall with us, I need a protective cover that can go with us, wherever the day happens to take us.

The package that contained the PottyCovers is resealable, and came with six individually wrapped PottyCovers. We have not yet needed the PottyCover while out of the house, but I went ahead and tested it out on our potty at home. It was easy to place over the potty, and I was impressed by how the PottyCover stayed in place when Balian sat on top of it! He thought the cute polka dot design was a lot of fun! After we were done using the potty, I just removed the PottyCover, and disposed of it.
