I won't lie- being a mom is a tougher job than I ever imagined. Some may think that stay at home or work at home moms have it made- and though it's amazing to be able to be with your child or children, it's still hard work to get everything crammed into one day and keep your sanity! I may steal a quiet moment alone every now and then, but that's on a rare occasion. Thursdays are my work nights- my husband and Balian go over to grandma's house for a few hours and I am home, in a quiet house, working from about 6-10 PM. Though I miss them when they're out of the house, I look forward to my quiet time- setting my laptop up on the front porch, with my notebook beside me, a little dinner, and a nice, chilled glass of wine. Oh, yes- everyone who works from home should get to do it like this!
I'm always on the lookout for adorable, sassy things to share with you all, and on a recent browsing binge, I came across the most fun, adorable wine glasses I have ever seen! Designs by Lolita all started with a girl's night out- Lolita, out with her friends, paid extra attention to the different martini each girlfriend ordered, and how it reflected each one's personality. I was sent a gorgeous, and super fun Domestic Diva Wine Glass from Designs by Lolita. Each wine glass designed by Lolita, herself, is hand painted- with extremely precise detail! I love this wine glass! The base of the wine glass says 'Domestic Diva' in pink paint, against a sparkling gold background. There are dollar bills and diamond rings circling around the lettering! The hand painted diamond rings and dollar bills continue up the stem of the wine glass, and meet the rest of the colorful, sassy design, featuring lots of different images and little sayings!

(That last one caught my husband's eye and he definitely agreed with that statement!)
The glass depicts a wife, in her heels and a dress or skirt, dusting, vacuuming, and cooking, among all of these little sayings, along with more diamond rings and dollar bills!
On the bottom of the wine glass, is a recipe for the 'Domestic Diva!' Love that each glass comes with a drink recipe on the bottom of it! Each glass also comes in a fun gift box- so it's ready for gift giving! It's best to hand wash stemware from Designs by Lolita, since it's all hand painted. I have used my glass several times already, have hand washed it each time, and have had no problems with any paint rubbing away! That makes me so happy!

Keep
the menu simple and elegant. A selection of assorted finger sandwiches
pair perfectly with tea. Cucumber and dill, smoked salmon with cream
cheese, egg salad, ham with mustard, and chicken salad with grapes are
all appropriate options. A cheese board with a variety of international
cheeses and grapes compliments the sandwiches.
For dessert, serve shortbread cookies, fairy cakes, miniature pastries, such as éclairs and petit fours, and a decorated cake on a cake stand, perhaps a lemon chiffon cake with white icing dotted with fresh raspberries. Decorate an ice ring with sherbet or ice cream, as well.

traditional tea service with teapot, cups and saucers, and a selection
