Ah, the diaper bag... a concept so simple, yet so complicated! When I was expecting, I never registered for a diaper bag. We had already received a bag from our Lamaze class that we thought would suffice, and I had in my possession a diaper bag (which was originally thought to be a travel bag, and used as one for about five years!). Little did I know, the diaper bag would end up being my worst enemy, after the birth of my son.

I have received tons of non-diaper bags that I have used as diaper bags- many of them with lots of pockets to hold lots of things, but none of them had a top closure, which meant that everything fell right out of the bag the moment I bent over to pick something up. For a long time, I felt that I couldn't leave the house without bringing the entire world with me, just in case my son needed something. Now almost two years into the mommy game, I've wised up, and  leave the house with much less, which means I don't need a monster of a diaper bag! I do still need a diaper bag, though, and I need one that will hold the items I need held, keep my personal items secure, if need be, be comfortable to carry, and not too girly, in case my husband needs to tote the bag around.
