As a mom, I am always on the lookout for toys that will keep Balian entertained, and help him learn and grow, developmentally. We're big fans of the name brand learning toys, which are popular with many mommies across the globe. However, these toys often come with a hefty price tag. Now, I would pay just about anything within reason to see that my son is being challenged, and having fun while at play- but, with the roller coaster the economy has been riding lately (and us, right along with it), the extra bucks that might have been spent on learning tools and toys are going for filling up the gas tank and many, many gallons of milk!

No need to feel blue, though! I recently had the opportunity to check out a new site- Project Play Smart, which is a members-only site, featuring weekly sales of high quality educational toys and parenting tools. If you've ever checked out sites like Totsy, you'll get the hang of Project Play Smart in no time! Project Play Smart is a site devoted to connecting moms with smart toys, or learning toys for their children at up to 50% off the retail price. Every week, new toys are added, and they are categorized by age.

Project Play Smart is incredibly easy to use. To get started, I simply went to their website, and signed up for a free account. Once I received my account confirmation e-mail, I was ready to log in and start browsing. I looked at the toys that were appropriate for Balian's age group, and then selected a toy I thought he would enjoy. I chose the Learning Laptop. He loves my laptop... and I love the toy laptop that I saw on Project Play Smart's site! It was colorful, had lots of buttons to press, made noises, and lit up- for added learning fun! The price was right at just around $15.00! There's no way that I could have snagged this toy at this price in one of the local stores! I added the selected toy to my shopping cart, added my shipping info and then checked out. Within a week, my package had arrived, and I was just beaming ear to ear- I knew Balian was going to love this new toy!

When Balian woke up from his nap the afternoon the new toy laptop arrived, I gladly gave him the box, and let him explore it a little bit. He shook it, touched it, and got mad, because he wanted that box GONE! I removed the toy from the box, and ever since, he has taken this little toy laptop everywhere! He loves it so much! He plays with it on the floor, on the table, while in his high chair, in the car, etc. This toy goes with us to grandma's house, and it will definitely be going to the beach with us in a few weeks when we head out for summer vacation!

I have to say a huge thank you to Project Play Smart! Now, I can easily browse and shop for educational toys for my sweet little man from home... and there are new selections added every week!
