The Forever Moments (Review and Giveaway)

I have always been a big picture taker. I became interested in scrapbooking way back when I was in high school, and was always snapping photos of my friends and family. I continued the pattern in college and afterward, so it seems fitting that now that I'm a mom, I take tons of pictures of my son. However, there's one big problem... my husband and I are so rarely home together, looking half-way decent, and with someone else around to snap a photo, that we have very few family photos of just the two of us with Balian. So, every time we do get together and wind up with a nice family photo, I really cherish it.

I recently came across The Forever Moments, and they do something really neat. They combine my love of photos and scrapbook-type layouts in one framed photo gift! I was given the opportunity to give The Forever Moments a try, and couldn't pass that by! I was able to choose my favorite layout from their wonderful selection of layouts, customize it with my own photo and information, and then select a frame.

I spent way too much time trying to decide on a layout. I had so many ideas running through my head! I could have chosen a 'grandpa' layout to make a nice gift for my dad's birthday, or a 'mom' layout for a Mother's Day gift for my mom... but ultimately, I decided to be selfish and chose a family themed layout for us to enjoy at home.

I selected the Family Portrait Layout, which is $12.95- for the layout, only (unframed). I was drawn to the background color, the simple black accent, and I really loved that it had a place for our family name, and then the year that our family was established. I selected the layout, customized it by adding our family name 'The Witts,' and the year 2007, which is the year that Sacha and I got married. I can't believe we're going on five years of marriage and have a beautiful (almost) eighteen month old boy! This brings a huge smile to my face! Back to the layout from The Forever Moments... I then selected that I did want a frame for my layout, and chose the one I wanted, and also selected that I wanted to upload my own photo. Super, super easy to do (actually- I e-mailed all of this to Cynthia at The Forever Moments, but you get the idea). That was it! I knew which photo I wanted to have framed- one from Christmas Eve 2011. After I made all of my selections and sent everything off to Cynthia, it was on its way to my house before I could even blink!

Here's a screenshot of the order page...

Less than a week later, my package from The Forever Moments arrived. It came nicely packaged in a big box. Balian was napping when it arrived, which I was glad for, because it meant that I would have a moment to inspect my new photo! I opened the box carefully, and was so happy to see that it was incredibly well-protected in bubble wrap. A nice little thank you note laid on top, which was hand-written from Cynthia. I love receiving notes from our sponsors- it shows they really care about their products, their business and their customers. It was then time to unveil my new masterpiece, so I pulled back the bubble wrap, and really just sort of stood in awe of how good this framed photo layout from The Forever Moments looked!

Here's my framed layout from TFM- so nicely wrapped and protected during shipping!

Here it is!

My first thought was, 'Wow- this is a nice size!' It really is, too! I love the size of the photo, the text and the frame! The 'mat' or background is more teal blue in person than the way it looked on the website, which I was thrilled about. It features a cool circle design throughout. The text is nice and big, but not overbearing... and it stands out. I really like the punch cut out effect inside of the circle, where it displays EST. 2007. The entire framed layout is a nice weight... not too light, and not heavy.

My new framed layout from The Forever Moments...

This will be the picture's new permanent home- in the powder room!

After spending some time just looking at this gorgeous framed layout, with my favorite family photo displaying, my next major decision would be where to put it? Though the colors in the photo match the colors in my family room, the colors in the layout do not. I tried it in our master bedroom for a few days, but it seemed hidden in there. I finally decided to place it in my powder room, which is being cleaned out and re-organized. This is my bathroom... my mom place. I keep all of my beauty stuff in there, and it's sort of my little escape place for when I need to steal a quiet moment and exfoliate or something! The wall color in there is a nice, tranquil blue, and there's a bare spot just over the commode and underneath my wall cabinet that definitely needed to have something there... and so I tried the framed family layout from The Forever Moments, and it worked perfectly! I love it there, too! Now when I'm in there, putting makeup on and fixing my hair, I can have something special to look at. This is also the bathroom that I have our guests use, and it will be a nice treat for them, as well.

Overall, I am so impressed with this gorgeous framed piece of art from The Forever Moments! The quality of the product for the price is outstanding! This looks like something I spent a lot of money on to have made- yet maintains that handcrafted look and feel. This entire combination costs less than $35.00 before shipping. Can you believe that!? There are so many wonderful layouts to choose from that you can give gifts for just about every occasion imaginable. If you'd rather not have it framed, you can just purchase the layout.
