After several weeks of little to no rain here in the Piedmont of North Carolina, we have finally been hit by April showers. The rain has been much needed, however, it's brought a little chill along with it, and it has forced us  to have to stay indoors all day. Being mom to a toddler boy, I look forward to our morning and afternoon outdoor playtime- it almost gives me a little break, and of course, Balian loves being outside. When we can't play outside, due to yucky weather, it's great to have some helpers in the house to keep the imagination flowing, and the crankies at bay!

I am excited to be able to share Cate & Levi with you! Cate and Levi is a unique company, which offers amazing little friends to give to our little ones! I first came across Cate and Levi a few months ago, and was so impressed by owner Josh Title's vision and purpose behind his products. Cate and Levi creates educational soft toys for children, which are handmade in the Cate and Levi studio in Toronto, Canada. Each soft little buddy is made from reclaimed wool, and no two Cate and Levi products are exactly alike. Cate and Levi's owner, and dad, Josh Title, believes in leaving the softest possible pawprint on the planet, which is why materials for these products are gathered as close to home as possible. This cuts down on shipping, which reduces their carbon footprint. Using reclaimed wool for each product is environmentally responsible, and something that really drew me to these products.

 People Puppet Collection by Cate and Levi

I was given the opportunity to select one of Cate and Levi's adorable People Puppets. Balian is at the age where this is a great time to start playing and learning with puppets, so I was thrilled to be able to choose a people puppet to kick off Balian's collection. Cate and Levi have four different people puppets- a nurse, pirate, fireman and princess. I selected the Pirate People Puppet for Balian. I figured he and his daddy would have a lot of fun playing with the pirate!

When we received our Pirate People Puppet from Cate and Levi, it was just a couple of days before Easter, so I tucked the puppet into Balian's Easter basket for an added surprise. I examined the Pirate People Puppet first, though, and was very impressed by the quality of the product. The wool was soft, but thick, and the pirate character has already warmed by heart. When Balian tore apart his Easter basket, he was immediately intrigued by the puppet. He picked it up, looked at it, held it, and then handed it to me. I showed him that it was a puppet, and how it fit over mommy's hand, and we proceeded to play tickle pirate, hide and seek, etc. The puppet doesn't have a name yet, but Balian loves to give his pirate puppet hugs, and loves for mommy to put it on her hand and make silly voices. Needless to say, the Pirate People Puppet from Cate and Levi has been a huge hit!
