Camilia (Review & Giveaway)

No matter how many half-filled glasses of water you hold in front of your face, dealing with a teething infant or toddler just isn't fun- for anyone! As a mom, I have come to recognize those late night cries due to pain from teething. I thought Balian would never get any teeth. When he turned a year old, he had just two tiny teeth poking through his bottom gums. From that point on, he was constantly drooling, chomping on any and everything, and I was left wondering- where the heck are this boy's teeth? Babies get their teeth in at different times, and at eighteen months, Balian seems to be getting a bunch of teeth all at once!

I have never liked giving my son infant medicines to relieve teething pain. If he has a little fever, fever reducer is okay by me, but it usually wipes him out and ends up screwing up our sleep routines. I hate messing with dosages and measuring liquid medicines. We've tried every alternative from teethers to oral gum numbing gel... but nothing seems to make the pain subside. When teeth are coming through, babies don't want to eat, and no one gets any sleep, or at least that's been our experience. Thankfully, I now know about a wonderful, natural teething relief product that I can feel good about giving to my toddler.

Camilia is a safe, homeopathic medicine that works naturally with the body, and has no side-effects on those who take it. It can be used to temporarily relieve those awful symptoms of teething, like painful gums and irritability. Babies and toddlers are irritable enough without teething pain! What I like about Camilia is that it also helps in relieving minor digestive disorders, which are sometimes associated with teething.

What are the Benefits of Camilia?
-One product teething solution, which targets gum swelling, irritability and pain
-Convenient, sterile single-use liquid oral doses
-No benzocaine, sugar or preservatives; tasteless and odorless
-No risk of over-medicating or numbing baby's gag reflex
-No side effects or risk of overdose

I could not wait to give Camilia a try with Balian. I have given up on gels, completely... and they almost seem pointless, because unless you know where it hurts (and come on, it's not like your baby can tell you where it hurts), you end up numbing their entire mouth- which I don't want to happen to my sweet babe. I can always tell when Balian is teething: his ears get a little red, his gums are obviously inflamed, he chomps, chomps, chomps on everything (Chomps was my dad's nickname for him up until his first birthday!), and he's super cranky. Balian showed teething symptoms a couple of weeks ago, just before Easter, and sure enough, he had another tooth trying to break through. So, I grabbed my handy box of Camilia, which came with 15 single-use doses, and followed the instructions.

Directions for Administering Camilia:
For children one month of age and older- Snap off one single-use dose. Twist to open. Squeeze entire contents into child's mouth. Repeat, as needed, for 15 minutes for 2 or more doses. If or when symptoms return, repeat these dosage instructions for up to a total of 9 doses per day.

*Stop use and ask a doctor if symptoms persist for more than 3 days, or worsen, or if inflammation, fever or rash develops.
*Discard single-use container after administering. Do not reuse.
*Keep out of reach of children.

Single-use doses of Camilia- so easy to use!

I had no trouble giving Balian a couple of doses of Camilia, as directed. I followed the steps for two doses before bedtime, and spread them out over a forty-five minute period. It helped ease Balian's pain, and he only woke up once during the night, and that was because he wanted some milk. It was the easiest way to administer medicine to my child that I have experienced thus far. I didn't have to use a dropper or syringe, didn't have to measure anything, and didn't have to fight to get Balian to open his mouth. He was actually intrigued by it, because it was something new.

I owe a great deal of thanks to Camilia for making this wonderful product available! Now I'll know what to use when baby #2 comes sometime down the road! If you're deal with a teething infant or toddler, why not give Camilia a try? I'd much rather use this- a safe and effective way to relieve teething pain, than follow a two step process day in and day out with other pain relievers and medications that may leave my child drowsy.
