TuTu Wreaths

Hey ladies, just a reminder that March is National Craft Month, so get your craft on! To help inspire you to be crafty, I thought Id share with you my new favorite craft/obsession. Tutu wreaths! They are so easy, you can use them for any occasion, and they look amazing!

Up until Valentines Day, I’d never heard of tutu wreaths. Thankfully, one my class moms, who make Martha Stewart look like a first time crafter, made me a beautiful tutu wreath. It had feathers, jewels, and tons of hot pink tulle.
Don't you just LOVE it?!
I immediately fell in love with it, and knew I had to make my own so I got online and Googled it. I was pleasantly surprised to find out tutu wreaths are incredibly easy to make! All you really have to do is tie knots!

Here are the steps to make your own tutu wreath.

1.     Find any color of tulle you want to use. (I picked green and orange sparkle)
2.     Get a premade wreath from your favorite craft store. (Styrofoam or straw work well)
3.     Get any baubles you want to glue on.
4.     Cut strips of tulle into around 18inches. (it just depends on what size wreath you use)
5.     Fold your tulle in half and then wrap it around your wreath, tying it in a knot.

I finished each of my knots with a tight knot.
6.     Continue to fold your tulle until your wreath is completely covered.
7.     Trim your tulle so it is even all the way around.
8.     Glue on your baubles.
My baubles had wires in them so I just stuck them into the wreath.
9.     Add a ribbon or more tulle as a hanger, and enjoy!

If you have any questions please feel free to email me, or post a comment.

My first attempt at a tutu wreath was a St. Patrick’s Day wreath. What do you think?

Here are some more wreaths that inspired me.

Gorgeous Halloween wreath

What a great fall decoration!!

This one blows my mind!

If you come to the Fritts Family Reunion this year you can expect to find a wreath that looks just like this in the raffle!
Happy crafting!!
