Five Finger Tees Review

I love getting MBP packages in the mail. More often then not, it is something for me to try or the kids to wear. My husband has grown to understand that most of the items we get, aren't for him. Now don't get me wrong, he does benefit from food products and a few select other items, but majority of the time he is not the lucky winner.

When a recent opportunity came about for Adam to benefit from all that Mommy's Block Party is, I jumped at the chance. We got to work with a company called Five Finger Tees, they were so happy to share their product with us. We sent our shirt request to Steve, our Five Finger Tees rep and within a few short days, Adam got his first MBP package in the mail.

Here is Adam's review of his Five Finger Tee:

I got to experience my first taste of Mommy’s Block Party items, with my involvement in the Five Finger Tees t-shirt. It is quite the honor! Their website had a large variety of pop culture and comedy catchphrase t-shirts from which to select, with choices like funny, movie/TV, cult classic, geek, pop culture, zombie, party, political, video game, music, animal, and holiday and each shirt appeared to be offered in a variety of optional colors that work with the specific t-shirt design.. All of the various t-shirts come in a wide selection of sizes ranging from S to 3XL.

I wanted to pick a t-shirt that I could wear virtually anywhere and not be considered offensive to any particular group of people (they also have an offensive shirt section) which although some were pretty funny, not appropriate for this dad, especially when I am with my children. So, after a while of browsing the shirts on the site, I narrowed my selections based upon pop culture television and movies of recent years that I enjoy. Trust me, there is quite a number of these offered. I also wanted to pick a t-shirt design that I would consider recognizable, but not necessarily easily identifiable or often seen in the public. Therefore, I picked the Catalina Wine Mixer Helicopter Expo t-shirt, which is an event reference from the 2008 movie Step Brothers staring Will Ferrell and John C. Reilly. This particular shirt on the surface appears to just a regular event shirt, but anyone who has seen the movie will understand that this shirt is a reference to the final scenes of the movie and the fact that “it’s the ------- Catalina Wine Mixer.”

Inspired by the movie-"Step Brothers", we are fans!

The shirt is made of 100% Preshrunk Cotton and fit perfectly for men’s size Large. I’ve worn this shirt a couple of times now and it appears to continue to fit well and washes normal, with no visible signs of fading or deteriorating thus far. It seems to hold up well, and will likely join my regular rotation of t-shirts.

Perhaps the biggest compliment for this shirt came when I recently visited the Jimmy Johns in town, wearing the shirt. Upon entering, I noticed the male employees beyond the counter talk to each other while staring at me. Not too unusual, as I was there to eat and they were going to take my order. However, when I went to grab the sandwich after they had made it for me, one of the employees stated to me that this was a great shirt, asked where I got it from, and then stated, the catchphrase, “it’s the ------- Catalina Wine Mixer.” It seems to be a hit.

Adam wanted a shirt that not everyone would understand, but be enjoyed by those who did. This shirt pretty much sums up our favorite part of the Step Brothers movie.

I would so have picked out this one and rocked it, if only it had been available
