The Talented Cookie Review & Giveaway

~Beckett's 5th Birthday Bash Sponsor~
Cookies, Cookies, Cookies!

I am a sweets lover, cookies, brownies, cake, yes please! I try to plan a few extra dessert items when we have a party, because not everyone wants to eat a slice of birthday cake.

Once Beckett had decided on the Lego Brick theme for his party, I started thinking about what kind of desserts could go with Legoish type ideas. I browsed the Internet looking at other mom's ideas and saw how creative they were, one problem, I am not that creative. That is when my good friend Etsy comes in handy.

I found many great birthday ideas on Etsy, and some fantastic shops as well. One such shop I found-
The Talented Cookie is owned by Wendy and has been opened since early 2011. After browsing the shop and talking to Wendy, I knew we would be in for a treat. Her cookies are gorgeous looking, she has some amazing creativity and talent, and we were so excited to partner with The Talented Cookie and have them be a sponsor for B's Birthday Bash.

Wendy was easy to communicate with, quick with her emails, and also in letting me know how shipping and cookies worked. I was very impressed with how it all would work.

Our box arrived in the mail, packed up safely for shipping and arriving with no damages.
Wendy made sure to send us our order so that it arrived the day before our party. The box was clearly labeled with all the information we needed about our treats.
  • The best if eaten by date- 11/30
  • The ingredients-butter, sugar, brown sugar, salt, eggs, baking powder, flour, vanilla extract, almond extract, powder sugar, meringue powder.
  • The cookie flavor-almond/vanilla (the original flavor)
  • The icing flavor-almond (the original flavor)
I was very pleased to see the ingredient list and the disclaimer at the bottom that the kitchen contains nuts, this is helpful for people or children with allergies to know exactly what is in the cookies and how they have been prepared.

Inside the box we found these...4 dozen mini Lego cookies
Each dozen was packaged in a clear sealed baggie. The Talented Cookie created an assortment of colors, shapes, and sizes to resemble Lego bricks. They were so cute and I had to keep myself from opening the baggies right then and having a try.

On party day, I set out all our cookies on a three tiered dish. I was able to display them so everyone else could see how cute they were. Not one cookie was broken or messed up in any way, they all looked perfect and Lego like.

I can't tell you how much of a hit these cookies were with the kids. The cookies were the perfect 1 or 2 biter to give them during the whole party. The kids ate them before dinner, with dinner, after dinner, and took some home for the car ride. I know many of the adults helped themselves to a couple as well. They had good flavor and looked so professional, I could only wish to have such a talent as The Talented Cookie does.
