Baby Cakes By Sara Review and Giveaway

I'm sure you've all heard the term "Seems like everyone I know is pregnant, don't drink the water?" It really seems to be true this time of year when it gets dark earlier and is starting to get older, we tend to "snuggle" closer and voila, we have babies! Or so we tell the young children, right? With so many new bundles of joy on the horizon, come Baby Showers. Some people love them, others hate them. The thought of having to buy a gift when your not sure what to get, or maybe you don't know the person well enough to know what to get them. It is a daunting task especially if you are the one who is throwing the shower. Mom's to be are so grateful to have someone throw them a shower, but we all know they are secretly hoping for certain gifts so that they don't have to buy them!  And a huge hot ticket item is a Baby Cake, or Diaper Cake. I think that they are just adorable, and while I don't yet have children of my own yet (Workin on the Hubby!) I was given the chance to review a Baby Cake of my own, and I was so excited!

David Baby Cake

What is a Baby Cake you might ask? A Baby Cake is a cake made out of diapers, with surprises for Mom and Baby hidden through out the cake. They can range from a small cake to a large cake with several different tiers. The BabyCake from Sara came in a large box with Styrofoam peanuts around it to protect it from harm! The box took a slight beating but the cake was is great form! After unwrapping the cake from the box and was in awe of the cuteness of the cake! The BabyCake "David" was wrapped in yellow tulle and adorned by rubber duckies, and rubber duckie ribbon! How Cute! I couldn't get enough of it. I called Cory into the dinning room to help me unwrap the cake, he claimed he wasn't into it, but he likes to open all of the reviews that come to the house, so I knew he wanted to see what treasures were in the cake.

Rubber Duckies
After taking off the tulle wrapping, and making sure not to destroy it, since I have plans for it later, I began to take in all of the wonderful things that the cake had to offer. The top layer of the cake had the most adorable rubber duckie on it, and when I pulled it out, the duck became a diaper trash bag holder. I know many of you mama's out there can't live without those! We took the first layer of diapers off, and found the next set of goodies. Sticking out of the diaper cake was a grooming set, which included scissors, nail clippers, nail files, a brush and comb. I loved how the set was soft, yet durable as to not hurt the baby, but it is gonna last. The last layer of the baby cake, to me was the best! It included baby wipes, powder, shampoo, body wash, and diaper cream. All travel sizes, so Mom and Dad can easily throw it in the hospital bag to welcome baby into the world.
