~Proud Sponsor of Balian's 1st Birthday Bash~
Every mommy wants their little one's first birthday party to be extra special, and I am definitely one of those mommies. I wanted B's party to be memorable right from start to finish, and what better way to help guests remember their time spent celebrating than to send them home with a super cute party favor?
I almost felt out of touch with the party favor world. The last time I gave out favors for anything was when Sacha and I got married, and those were simple little candy favors. Most people don't even bother with favors for birthday parties and wedding receptions anymore, but call me old fashioned- I like to send guests home with a little token. So, I took to the internet and looked around, which was nothing but overwhelming and confusing. When I finally got smart and headed to Etsy to look around, I found what I was looking for almost immediately. I noticed a cute little shop called Serena's Party Boutique and saw a listing for edible party favors. Who doesn't love a goody to go?
Soky Castillo, owner of Serena's Party Boutique offered to send us some edible favors for Balian's party. She knew we were doing a jungle party theme, and had the perfect treats for our guests! I couldn't wait to see what Soky would choose to send to us! When the party box arrived from Serena's Party Boutique, I opened it and sorted through everything with my mom. I was so impressed by the packaging. Every single edible favor was individually wrapped in tissue paper, and they were packed in ziplock bags, on ice. As I started to unwrap the favors, I was just delighted by the cute treats before me.
Soky sent me:
Two sets of Chocolate Covered Oreo Cookies...
Here are the cookies, individually packaged and ready to go for the party...
Soky also sent me White Chocolate Lollopops and Frosted Rice Krispie Treats...
Each favor (the lollipops and rice krispies) had an edible image on it that said, 'Balian's 1st Birthday Party.' All of the favors had their own favor tags, which were absolutely adorable! I set the favors inside of two tins, each filled with paper grass, wrapped with a giraffe bow. The favors were out on display for the entire party and our guests were so impressed by the presentation, and the way the favors looked. I was almost afraid that no one wanted to try one of the favors because they looked so cute! Then, I saw my father-in-law, who has a serious sweet tooth, go for the Oreo favors. As I watched him eat it, it's almost like there were no words to describe how extremely awesome the cookie was. He loved it, proudly exclaimed that they were some of the best cookies ever, and the other guests all ran to the favors, dying to try them! They were a huge hit. My sister-in-law was stuffing treats into her purse, the Oreo favors were gone in a matter of seconds. I'm sorry that I didn't set one aside for myself! I trust the opinions of my family, though, and they truly loved all of the favors. As a matter of fact, all of the favors were eaten at the party, except for one lone white chocolate lollipop, which I snagged for my husband. He loved it!
And as if the favors weren't enough, Soky surprised me by sending cupcake toppers for the party, too! If you scroll back up to the previous picture, you can see the little green discs in with the party favors. We used them around the party food, since we didn't have cupcakes, and I saved a few of them to use in Balian's scrapbook. They would have looked adorable a top some jungle cupcakes, though!
Serena's Party Boutique is amazing, and I hope you'll take some time to go to Soky's Etsy shop and her website to look around. If you're planning a party- any kind of party (baby shower, birthday, anniversary, retirement, housewarming, baptism, etc...) Soky's party favors will leave a lasting impression on your guests.
