Harper Rae Review and Giveaway

I could truthfully buy a thousand hair accessories for Scarlett. I love bows, ribbons, flowers, barrettes, headbands, gosh—I think I have a serious addiction to all things for cute little girly girls. I am always so excited when I find something different to match that one perfect outfit in Scarlett’s closet, (she also is not lacking in the clothing department) to throw onto that little bitty head of hers. As a mom, I wish I had the talent to create beautiful things for my daughter to wear, so I am even more on the lookout for other moms who do and build something from that.

I was recently sent a few items from Amy, who owns an adorable company called Harper Rae, with her mommy friend Paula. Harper Rae was created by these two moms, using their daughters as inspiration. They make hairbows of all styles, headbands, ties, shirts, bibs, and more. They also partner with another company to produce custom clothing for little boys and girls. How can you not love them already?

Amy, from Harper Rae, was great to work with, she was really excited to participate with The Mommy Blog and get her company's name out there. In our package from Amy were two items, one for Scarlett and I to review, and one for Ondria and Balian to review (see below).

My item was this...

An incredibly gorgeous green flower fabric bow on an alligator clip.

I would describe the green as almost a pistachio color, layered with the same color tulle. It is around 2 inches in diameter and is incredibly lightweight as well. It is on a white, no-slip lined alligator clip, perfect for Scarlett's finer hair. There is also a tutorial on their website on how to line an alligator clip-SCORE!

I had scheduled a photo shoot with our family's favorite photographer for one of their mini-sessions. I got the fabric bow from Harper Rae the day before the shoot and added it to my bag for Scarlett's pictures. When we got to the photo shoot, which was called "Fairies", I knew I had made the right choice of bringing Scarlett's new green fabric bow. Our photographer had made tutus for the girls to wear, and she had one tutu that matched our Harper Rae fabric bow exactly! Here is Scarlett from her "Fairies" shoot. You can't see the bow as well as I was hoping, but it is there and perfect!

I am really pleased with the quality of Harper Rae's green flower fabric bow. I would love to purchase more from them and keep supporting the creative and talented mom world. Here are some of my favorites from Harper Rae.

I was super excited for the opportunity to review a product from Harper Rae! Steph passed on an adorable Tie Bib to me for Balian to try out!

I sort of have a love-hate relationship with bibs, and so does Balian. Well, he actually hates them, period. I love that they keep him from getting messy, but I hate that he fusses so much about wearing one! When I approached him at meal time with his new bib from Harper Rae, I expected him to throw a fit, but when I fastened the bib around his neck, he seemed completely chill, which is highly unusual! The bib didn't seem to bother him one bit, and he wasn't yanking at it to try to get it off of himself.

Black and White Tie Bib from Harper Rae...

I love the soft, yet durable feel of the all cotton bib. It features a velcro closure, which Balian normally rips right off, but this one really holds! Moms everywhere will rejoice in a strong-holding velcro closure on a bib! The appliqued black and white houndstooth tie is too adorable for words! Balian looks like such a little man wearing this bib, and he loves having it on! See for yourself...
