Weekend Wrap Up

Well, the weekend has come and gone much too quickly, once again. We enjoyed a night out on the town on Friday night, which consisted of driving to Mooresville, having dinner at Chilli's (2 for $20 is back!), heading over to Michaels to do a little birthday party shopping, and then to Target to pick up a gallon of milk, because Balian is- drinking real milk! Yay! Goodbye formula, hello whole milk... and our wallets are breathing again, too. Saturday was also a sort of shoppy day... we hung around the house until noon- had to cut hubby's hair, etc. Balian started eating Cheerios on Saturday, so that's new. We went to my sister-in-law and brother-in-law's new house. It's a beautiful home, in an excellent neighborhood. They have lots of room to grow! They also just got a new puppy, so we had to meet her. Her name is Jazzy, and she is just adorable! Balian has a new best friend. From there, we went to Party City for more party shopping. Actually, just bought some streamers. Went looking for balloons, but figured we'd wait until the day before the party- we'll just drive down there and get them already blown up and all that jazz. We also had to go to Wal-Mart, which never had what I'm looking for- no surprise there. Needed to go grocery shopping, but we held off and went to my mom and dad's house for a visit and for a yummy pork chop supper! Sunday was crazy, as they always are. Church from 8:30 to about noon, and then out to lunch, then to the grocery store. Headed home, and then Sacha went right back to church to attend an organ recital. He then came home, and I went back to church because I had Women's Ensemble rehearsal. Got home around 6:45 last night, had leftover quiche and salad for supper and then headed to bed. Thankfully, we had a pretty restful night.

So now it's Monday, and here I am with my morning coffee, checking FB, updating the blog, etc. Blogger is making some changes, so I'll have to get used to some new stuff on the admin. side of this. And speaking of changes- whoa, Facebook! Oh, well- I love how everyone moans about the Facebook changes. We don't pay for Facebook. They give us unlimited opportunities to network, share our businesses and build online communities, and all we do is complain when they make changes. Their folks have to get paid for doing something, right? Personally, I love Facebook and really appreciate the things they let me do. Our Mommy Blog community wouldn't be what it is without our Facebook page! Not to mention my business page, and the other pages I admin for my mom, husband and even my church! So- thanks Facebook, for helping people everywhere get connected one way or another.

I am still hard at work on stuff for Balian's Birthday Bash. The new tab for that will be popping up this week, as will tabs for Fall Features, Black Friday Frenzy and the 2011 Holiday Gift Guide. You'll be able to visit all of these tabs to sign up to participate in any or all of these events. There are only a couple of days left to sign up for the birthday bash, though- that one is getting really close! We have new giveaways to start this week, as well as new reviews to post, which I'm excited about. So, I hope you'll stay tuned, keep checking back with us... and I hope everyone has a wonderful week!

Here are a few things I'm lovin' today...
