Teething Stinks

Balian was an extremely colicky baby. When it started, he was only two weeks old, and we didn't know what in the world set him off and made him start wailing. It continued for weeks and weeks from about 4 pm to sometimes 1 am. People kept asking, 'Oh, is he a little colicky?' 'A little?' I wanted to reply. A LITTLE doesn't even begin to describe how bad it was. I know we're not the first parents to deal with colic, and we certainly won't be the last. My mom told me that if I thought the colic was bad to just wait until Balian started teething. So far, colic was definitely worse. He is teething- the poor thing, and I can almost take the constant whining over the constant crying. The only thing that bugs me is that no matter what I do, nothing seems to help my little man feel better. Baby Oragel does nothing but make him choke and cough, and I hate to resort to giving him Infant Advil, but sometimes I have no choice. He hates all of his teethers, won't chew on a washcloth, and he has just about bitten a piece of my index finger off. Man, oh, man, does that boy love to CHOMP! :) He went all day without a nap until just around 5 pm, when he was nursing and fell asleep in my arms. He was a much better eater today, though. Ate his breakfast of cereal right up, along with applesauce for lunch and carrots for dinner. I just wish he would be better about sleeping. At least he's been asleep in his crib for just about an hour now, and still going strong. I'm hoping he lasts a few hours before stirring and waking himself up.

On a much lighter note, I wanted to let you all know that there are some really awesome reviews and giveaways coming soon, so keep checking back daily to make sure you don't miss out on anything. Many of you are well-deserving mommies who deserve treats for yourselves and your LO's. I'll bring you as many freebies, deals and giveaways as I can. :)

I hope you all have a wonderful weekend. We don't have much planned for tomorrow (Saturday), but Sunday is going to be out of this world busy! If you don't hear from me for a couple of days, that's why! Hang in there, everyone and have a safe and happy weekend. Get out there, enjoy the beautiful weather and your families!
