Happy Saturday! It's hard to believe we are already on day 3 of our 4 day weekend. We've spent much of the last couple of days just hanging out together, which has been really great. Matt actually had the last 2 days off, the girls have been (mostly) getting along really well, and we've already picked up a few more Christmas gifts so hopefully we won't be straggling later on. There's just one more thing I am hoping to do, and that is to put up the darn Christmas tree.
For the last few years, we have been putting the tree up later than I'd like. We always have to rearrange some things in the living room to make space, which makes it more of a "chore". I was hoping and believing that this year we really would get it up the day after Thanksgiving, but it just didn't happen. I'm still hopeful that we get it up today though.
Wrapping Up the Long Weekend
In addition to getting our own tree up, I'm looking forward to bringing the girls to our city's tree lighting ceremony on Sunday night. We haven't been to the tree lighting ceremony in quite a few years, but we had a great time at the last one. I think it'll be a great way to end our weekend!
