Weekends with the Wigglesworths- This Mom Needs a Time Out!

Happy Saturday! Can you believe we are already half-way through September?!? We've been so busy running here, there, and (seemingly) everywhere, that I can hardly keep track of the date. I know I was a little mopey about our lack of activities during the summer, but now it appears there was a reason for our season of near tranquility.... it was the "quiet before the storm".

The girls last week, fundraising for East Mountain Athletic Association

The last few weeks have been a whirlwind. We are still getting used to this back to school and weekday soccer games (for D, thankfully R plays on weekends only) thing. This week, D also made the decision to try out for the school play and we found out yesterday that she made it! We are all very excited, but at the same time, I am remembering how exhausting this was last year, especially once Daylight Saving Time hits. Since Matt is always at work, it's up to me to do a great deal of the running where the girls are concerned, and as much as I love it, I get little moments where I feel so overwhelmed I could cry.

Today, R has a soccer game, and I'm going to have to miss it for the second weekend in a row because D has a birthday party to attend. Today is also picture day for R's soccer team, so my Mama heart is really hurting because I don't like missing anything, but I am grateful that Matt can be there for R while I am there for D. Then, we'll be on the field again tomorrow for D's soccer game. I'm tired just thinking about all of the running around that will be going on for the next 48 hours, but I am also grateful for the chance to do it all.

I hope you have a great weekend!
