"Momma, I have a booboo!", am I the only one that hears this about 100 times a day? Thankfully most of these "booboos" are pretend; my daughters love to play doctor. Now that my oldest is 4, she's also becoming more inquisitive. She wants to learn everything she can about her ever-growing interests. Sometimes moms need a little help answering "why?".
Little Medical School wants to teach the child in your life about medicine, science and the importance of health. They make learning exciting through their interactive classes available at school locations, hospitals, day care centers, birthday parties, summer camps, and many other venues across the country. They want to bring the fun to your home through their medical kits.
In preparation for kindergarten next year, I've been doing some in-home preschool with my daughter. When we were contacted about doing a review for Little Medical School, I thought it would be a great learning activity to do together. Since we're adding another little one to our family, I chose their My Little Pediatrician Kit.
Here's what they sent:
Baby with removable diaper and box to use as bassinet or storage
Birth certificate, diploma, workbook, and assessment sheet for baby's first exam
Doctor coat, punch out stethoscope and otoscope, tape measure, ID bracelet, Dr. badge, markers and diaper wipe

N loved meeting her new baby, she is ultra plush and perfect for giving cuddles. Time for acquaintances was short-lived, N was ready to get to business!

I helped N go through some of the provided activities. The book offers great explanations on how and why doctors perform tasks. We had a lot of fun and learned together.

I was busy being the teacher, so N invited her little sister to be the nurse. She was able to join in the fun, but since a lot of the materials are paper we have been very careful to keep them out of her reach. She's still very rough on toys!

One of our favorite activities
We have some family in Finland, that made this activity special to us. Though I have heard of the famous "baby box", this included some information new to me. N loves learning about other cultures and had a blast coloring the baby's bed.
Everyone loves rainbows
