Kick Off the New School Year with These Good-for-You Snacks #MBPBacktoSchool

Thank you to 5W PR for the samples. All thoughts are my own.

We're officially back to school, and are trying our darndest our get back into the 'school year routine.' I have to say, it hasn't been easy reverting back to a set schedule. We were pretty lax with things over the summer, and I did not miss packing lunches. Now that school has started, I am back to packing two lunch boxes every night- one for B (age 6), and one for my hubby (age 32). I usually pack lunches as I am cleaning up our dinner dishes, so that the kitchen is 100% ready to go for the next morning. Both my son and husband are picky eaters, so packing a lunch box isn't always as easy as tossing this and that into the lunch box, zipping it up, and then being done with it.

This year, we're trying some fantastic new snacks that are perfect for the lunch boxes, and great for healthy snacking at home. I wanted to share some of our favorites with you. They've become time savers for me, but I also feel good about giving these snacks to my kids, or handing them over to my hubby, who is trying so hard to 'be good' and cut the junk out of his diet.

Start the day off on the right foot with Viki's Granola!

Viki’s Granola On-the-Go Packs are made with 100% all natural ingredients, gluten-free and baked with love. With a fresh, soft and chewy texture, Viki's Granola is great to enjoy on its own or with yogurt for a nutritious snack. I love the taste of this fresh, delicious granola, and enjoy it with just a splash of milk. It gives me the fuel I need to power through busy mornings.

Welch's Fruit Rolls & Go Organically Fruit Snacks- perfect for the lunch box!

My son loves 'fruit snacks,' but I am always hesitant to buy those licensed character snacks for him after I look through the ingredients. We've found that Welch's Fruit Rolls and Go Organically Fruit Snacks are snacks that we can feel good about handing over for a treat.

Unroll the fun with the NEW Welch's® Fruit Rolls.

Welch's® Fruit Rolls deliver the same quality consumers love in Welch's® Fruit Snacks, in a new, irresistibly fun format!

Featuring fruit as its first ingredient, the Fruit Rolls come in three mouthwatering flavors: Berry, Tropical Punch, and White Grape Strawberry.

Made with natural flavors and colors from natural sources, the Fruit Rolls are gluten free, preservative free, feature 100% DV of Vitamin C and are a good source of Vitamins A & E.

Go Organically Fruit Snacks are made with real fruit, have no preservatives, are Gluten Free, GMO Free, and are USDA Organic!

Welch's Fruit Rolls & AquaBall are two lunch box items that are easy to pack, and that my kiddo will love!

For an easy lunch box beverage, my choice is AquaBall.  AquaBall's naturally flavored water is the only zero-sugar, zero-calorie, zero-preservative children's beverage around. Available in four flavors and featuring fan favorite Disney and Marvel characters, AquaBall is not only fun for kids, but also smart for parents. B loves the Disney characters on the AquaBall bottles. They're so much fun, and just the right size for little hands.

Great snack options for older kids, or for parents.

I am a huge lover of olives, and so is Baby S. They're a great low carb snack and are also perfect to put out for guests if you're expecting company or have last minute visitors.

·         Gaea Organic Snack Olives are packed in a handy re-sealable package, without liquid, allowing the convenience of snacking now and later. 100% natural, containing zero additives or preservatives and very low salinity, Gaea’s Organic Olives make for a delicious savory snack.

When it comes to beverages, we're also very picky. We don't drink soda, but every now and then, it's nice to drink something sparkling or with a little flavor and fizz! Brooklyn Organics is the perfect beverage for those looking for a sugar-free drink option. Each contains a bold fizz in a svelte packaging and is USDA Organic-certified, non-GMO, Kosher, Gluten Free and Caffeine Free.

A great after school snack for grown ups!

B is always hungry after school. He eats lunch at 11:45 am, so by 2:45 pm, I can't blame him for needing a snack. By the time we get home from school pick up, I am also usually hungry. Not wanting to sabotage my healthy eating habits, I opt for a tiny snack bowl of popcorn, and a slim can of Sparkling Ice. I even pack these two treats in my hubby's lunch box. He has a very short amount of time to eat lunch in between his classes (he's an adjunct professor at two local colleges), so these quick bites are great for him to eat in a hurry, and keep him on track with his healthy meal plans.

The Little Kernel is a miniature popcorn brand with a unique, hulless, “miniature kernel.” Popped in 100% pure olive oil, each kernel is gluten-free, non-GMO, dairy-free, kosher and certified whole grain.

Skip the soda by opting for Sparkling Ice’s 8oz. Slim Cans. This slightly carbonated light and refreshing beverage contains Zero Calories, Zero Carbs, is Gluten Free, and is Sodium Free.
