~Part of our Valentine's Day Feature~

Growing up we were never allowed to have fragranced anything in our house. My mom was and still is allergic to most any perfume, candles, lotions, deodorants, basically everything that smells nice. I got very familiar with not wearing anything scented.

Once I got to college, I tried out different fragrances and perfumes, but never fell in love with one particular smell. I am still like that today, I do wear perfumes once in awhile, usually on a date with my husband or if we are going someplace nice, but I don't have a "go-to" perfume.

That was, until just recently, thanks to Janice Tarquin. Janice is an Independent Scentsy Consultant and she has introduced me to a whole line of Scentsy products, I never even knew existed.

A bit about Janice:
Janice was introduced to Scentsy fairly recently and after learning more about them, knew she wanted to share the products with others. Her favorite Scentsy scents are the Coffee Tree Scentsy Bar, Toasted Caramel Sugar Scentsy Bar, and Spiced Grapefruit Scentsy Bar.

Janice was very excited to work with Mommy's Block Party and promote a Scentsy product for our Valentine's Day feature.  She chose a product from Scentsy's fine fragrance line. I am always so excited when I open the mailbox and find a MBP package waiting for me, I usually can't even wait to get inside to open it up. Plus this was from Scentsy, so I couldn't wait to smell it either!

Here is my Scentsy fine fragrance product...it arrived safely secured in bubble wrap-fun!

Inside the bubble wrap was this really shiny package of wonderfulness...Love Story Solid Perfume

Can I tell you this, the packaging alone is flashy and fun, I couldn't even wait to see what more was in store.

I lifted the silver top off to reveal a second package that contained the actual perfume stick. The black and red on this package really pop and the whole thing just shouts Valentines and Love. 

You can also get the Love Story scent in a Scentsy Bar, Brick, Room Spray, Scent Circle, and Fragrance Foam.  I am a huge fan of the Love Story scent and will be checking these out.

It is a very light, feminine, romantic scent that is not overpowering and just perfect for date night or even everyday.  I like to dab a bit on a few of my pulse points, wrist area and ear/neck area, and it lasts most of the day. It is subtle enough that I am not overwhelmed by it, but is is enough to catch someones attention. I have even let my 2 year old put a bit on her wrists when she is getting ready with me. Her opinion "that smell good Mommy".  My husband described it as nice and girly. As a man of few words, I guess that is his endorsement. So thumbs up from all of us!

I also appreciate the ease of Scentsy's Solid Fragrance line. I know getting ready in the morning can be hectic, especially it seems on preschool mornings. I can quickly open the lid, twist, and dab a bit on. It is also nice and portable, perfect for travelers or busy moms on the go. It is not overly large and can easily fit in a purse, diaper bag, on even just to keep in the car.

Scentsy has created a really great product line with their Solid Fragrances. Currently there are 5 scents available, Enchanted Mist, Love Story, My Wish, Satin Sheets, and Simply Irresistable. The Solid Fragrances were also featured in AOL's 2011 Best Products. Way to go!
