Senior Year

Tomorrow E starts his final year of high school.  I am not sure how I am feeling about this.  On one hand I am so proud of the young man he is becoming but on the other hand where did my baby go?  Is it weird to feel empty nest syndrome when the nest is not yet empty?

I am reminded today of the children’s book Oh the Places You’ll Go because while I am sad to not be depended on I am grateful to watch him grow and experience the life he is supposed to.  I will get to see the places he will go.

My job as a mom will never end and while my baby is turning into a man he will always be my baby.

For my son entering senior year-
I am proud of the person you are and will become
Adulthood is a blink of the eye away, but you will always be my baby.
Don't regret the choices you make because they teach valuable lessons.
Learn from your experiences to be the best you- you can be.
I love you.
