I DO Love a Good Hotdog! - Circle B Ranch

My grandma Virginia was always on the hunt for the best hotdog and I think she would have approved of these delicious hotdogs from Circle B Ranch. Our friend Marina and her husband John Backes started Circle B Ranch in 2009 when they moved to the Ozarks from New Jersey - talk about a lifestyle change! The climate in Missouri is perfect for raising Heritage Berkshire hogs. Marina and John are passionate about producing quality food and firmly believe that the quality of meat is directly related to the quality of care that the animals receive. Thus, the awesome products from Circle B Ranch!

Marina sent me an assortment of products to try out from Circle B Ranch: Big John's Uncured Hot Dogs, Marina's Homestyle Meatballs and a Cured Boneless Ham. Also, a delicious homemade Tomato Sauce and Cranberry Chutney. We made the hotdogs first since they are my oldest's favorite treat! They were so flavorful - they are full pork hotdogs and have almost a bacon-y taste to them - yum!

Next, I made meatball subs out of the meatballs and tomato sauce. Marina knows what she's doing here. That sauce is amazing - so fresh and full of garlic and basil - it would be excellent on pasta and I think I need to order stock in it. The meatballs were probably my favorite treat from Circle B Ranch - don't get me wrong, everything was delicious, but the spices and seasonings in the meatballs were just so perfect.

I ate a whole meatball sub. A whole footlong sub.

And then I had a craving for another one the next day. 😳

We saved the ham for Easter Sunday - it was the centerpiece of the meal for sure. Such a beautiful ham and it was smoked so it was tender and flavorful. It was about 4lbs so I just heated it at 350F for about 40 min to warm it. It is a perfect ham to make for any holiday or special occasion (or anytime if you just love ham, I mean, who doesn't?) We have plenty left over and my kids loved it - they kept asking if I would make it again haha - yes, I will because we have plenty of ham to use for quiches or ham sandwiches or omelets... the list will go on for sure.

You guys, I can't say enough good things about this company - the fact that they put such honest effort into raising their hogs well to produce excellent meat products is amazing and unique. I highly recommend ordering your next holiday ham from them or trying out their awesome sauces for your next spaghetti dinner. You will not be disappointed!
