Weekends with the Wigglesworths- It's Play Time!

Happy Saturday, friends! This weekend is the "big crazy", as the school play (that D is in!) starts today. This year, it's The Little Mermaid, Jr. We are all so excited because The Little Mermaid is one of our all-time favorites, but of course, it wouldn't be us if we weren't stressing out a little too.

Another Birthday Party?!?

Last weekend, R had a birthday party to attend and she has another one today! I'm not really complaining, her friends from school are all little darlings, but I am curious why she has a more active social life than I do? I'm also a bit antsy about the timing of the party since it starts at 2pm, but I am attempting to trust that everything will work out exactly the way it is supposed to.

R at her friend, B's, party last weekend! It was a great one!

Get Her to the School On Time!

D is supposed to be to the school by 4:30pm. This is where the antsiness comes in. I don't want to be rude and leave the birthday party too early, but I also need to make sure I am back to the house in time to help her get ready since she asked to wear some makeup this year and it has to be done at home. Matt is a pretty smart and resourceful guy, but I think makeup application might just be the one thing he isn't so great at.

D, in her costume! This picture, in its entirety (with other cast members)  is on the board at the entrance of the school's theater.

Catching the Show!

We're all so excited for tonight's performance! Like last year, R already got to see the play because the cast puts on a performance for the entire school the Friday before opening night. I'm getting hit, big time, in the feels right now, because this is her last play at her current school.
I'm going to try not to think about that while we're watching her tonight. I will focus on how much she lights up the stage when she is performing and the excitement on her face when she sees her "crew" in the audience cheering her on.

Of course, I ordered a shirt for myself and I have my ticket ready!

What are you up to this weekend? I'd love to hear about it, so be sure to let me know by leaving a comment below. Whatever you're up to, I hope your weekend is amazing!
